One design racing club using the CR-914 model

Activities:

We are making arrangements at our venues to encourage disabled sailors to participate in head to head competition in one design model sailing. I am working with Hugh Fletcher, a disabled sailor, who I raced against at the CR-914 national championships last fall. Hopefully we can earn a place as a club that is user friendly for disabled sailors. We are a strictly one design racing club using the CR-914 model.

Our club supports a multi-fleet program, meaning we are a state wide non profit sailing club, supporting model racing fleets in home town venues. We use one boat and one set of club procedures for all fleets. Since our venues and the sailing of our boats is disabled friendly, we are setting out to encourage disabled sailors to come and sail. Boats are individually owned, but there is always time to do demonstration sails, where someone interested can actually get their hands on the controls and see how these remarkable boats sail. Our website outlines our current activities.
