Shake-A-Leg Miami, Inc. was created in 1990 to offer a universally accessible watersports facility for education and recreation. The facility is open to the public with emphasis on people with disabilities, youth and families. It targets a wide variety of participants---from young scouts to youth-at-risk, from college students to seniors. Additionally, it serves as an international model for the development of accessible programs open to people of all ages, gender, race, ethnic background, and level of ability.
